This is a great resource for all of us and our first year of teaching. It has everything you need from lesson plans, other websites for reference, and a teacher toolbox with what to expect during your first year teaching. It mostly focuses on teaching reading and gives strategies for how to develop your students into effective and skillful readers. There's also a "Diary of a First Year Teacher" where you can read about a teachers real-life experiences and learn a lot from them. The resource page gives many different places that teachers can go to get ideas for lessons and also provides places these new educators can go for support. Overall, I believe this is a great website and resource for all of us especially during our first few years of teaching. Enjoy exploring the site!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful website. I love the fact that it has lesson plans for future reference. I also like that you can look at the perspectives of other teachers who have made it through their first year.

Meredith,
ReplyDeleteI really liked your education resource. The lesson plan formats are great for the future. I was really impressed by the different perspectives of first time teachers. I have several family members and friends that are teachers and I love to hear about their first year. When I hear the stories from them I feel like it might help me prepare me for my first year.

Meredith,
ReplyDeleteThis truly is a wonderful resource. I was a teaching assistant for four years in Perry Township and met some first year teachers during this time. Although exciting, a teacher's first year is a year for growth and resources such as this help reduce some of the anxiety. I believe this site could be useful for veteran teachers as well. There are lesson plans and perspectives of other teachers which are two resources that could be useful at anytime. Thank you for the great resource!
Wow. I spent almost an hour on here reading the diaries of first-year teachers. They were so intriguing. This is a really cool resource that you found. I've put it in my bookmarks.
